Seven Steps to Using FeedBurner to Build Up Your Blog Subscriber List

One of the very core principles of Internet marketing is the building of a mailing list.
The more people who regularly and voluntarily read what you have to say, the more products you will sell, plain and simple.
You can, of course, use email to deliver your message to your mailing list.
However, an approach with a higher success rate in terms of having your message read is to use a blog and RSS (basically, an XML file that contains snippets of content from your blog).
FeedBurner is a service owned by Google (who else?) that makes it easy for people to subscribe to your blog in an RSS reader.
It also provides you with statistics about your blogs, such as how many subscribers you have, which is great information to have at your disposal.
It only takes a few minutes, so it is well worth your effort to set up your blog or blogs with FeedBurner.
Here's how: 1.
Go to www[dot]feedburner[dot]com.
2.
Click the Create an account button.
3.
If you do not have a Google account, fill in the required information and submit the form.
If you already have a Google account, sign in.
4.
Type your blog address in the text box that says to "burn a feed" and click Next.
5.
FeedBurner should then find your blog's atom or RSS file.
Continue.
6.
Specify a title and feed address.
Click Next.
7.
You can stop at this point or continue and set up stats for your blog.
FeedBurner will provide an address where people can go and sign up for your blog RSS feed using any number of RSS readers, and you will be able to track information about your subscribers in your FeedBurner account.
If you follow your stats, you will notice that the more you blog, the higher your subscriber count will go.
Funny how that works.
You still need to promote your blog, but using FeedBurner, you can be more certain that many of your first-time visitors will return.
