- 1). Cut the paper into a square, using the ruler as a guide. The size of the square determines the size of the finished pinwheel.
- 2). Draw a line from one corner of the paper square to the opposite corner. Repeat, so the lines form a large X intersects in the center of the square.
- 3). Cut along the lines, stopping short of the center of the paper square. For larger pinwheels, stop cutting farther from the center, and for smaller pinwheels, stop cutting closer to the center.
- 4). Place glue on the center of the paper. Glue one corner of paper to the center.
- 5). Skip a corner of the cut paper. Glue the next corner to the center.
- 6). Repeat the gluing process until four corners are clued to the center, skipping corners to create the pinwheel.
- 7). Glue a decorative button to the center to cover the place where the corners are glued.
- 8). Glue the pinwheel to the stick.
