Generally, panic attacks with panic are not pleasant. These bring up feelings that are strong such as anxiety and terror for quite some time and can be recurrent and happen more than just a few times. This is especially true if these types of attacks run in your family.
Panic attacks involve your mental, emotional and physical well being and can be very draining as well as exhausting on all levels.

Usually, a symptom panic attack includes chest pain, feeling like you are dying, hyperventilating, having a hard time breathing normally and getting a cold sweat. Feeling like you are going to faint is another symptom you need to watch out for.

Causes of panicking attacks have been studied extensively and are very well known. These not only include heredity but also include social environments, mental health, physical health and your well being. Symptoms vary according to age and gender.

Besides the symptoms already mentioned, dizziness, numbness of extremities and a rapid heartbeat is also noted. You will know it is time to see a doctor when your life becomes disrupted in a minor or a major way. This means that if you decide to walk one hour to the office because you can no longer tolerate being in an enclosed car, taxi or train, you need to seek medical help.

On the other hand, you may dismiss your disorder if just minor life interference occurs such as when you cancel your weekend book group because you suddenly find it hard to think of yourself surrounded by other people.

Of course this may seem like a minor life change but once you see that you are rearranging your life even in small ways, your best option would be to see a specialist as soon as you can to get help before it becomes more aggravated.
