- 1). Locate the three reinforcement parts that will secure the steps. Install the foam pads under each and fill them with pea gravel. Put the plastic caps to secure the gravel inside.
- 2). Lay the step out and affix the reinforcement parts using the appropriate bolts and nuts. Also put in place the support tube.
- 3). Place the step on the flat side, in order to insert the longer support tube from the bottom of the step. The shorter support tube will be put in the top of the step.
- 4). Insert the ramp piece; there is one for each of the support tubes. Secure the ramps with the ¾-inch screws.
- 5). Put the step into the water. Be sure to let all the air escape and then place it against the pool wall, ensuring it touches the ground solidly. Leave a 1-inch gap between the wall and the back of the step.
- 6). Lower the brace so that it rests on the deck. Place the ballast unit, full of pea gravel, on top of the step.
- 7). Attach the braces to the deck. This will secure the step in place and offer extra protection from motion.
- 8). Install the cap on the support tube that is not attached to a ramp.
