- 1). Wait at least 24 hours after initial installation of the refrigerator, as the unit will take time to cool appropriately and may make several noises during this process, including clicking sounds.
- 2). Close the doors on the refrigerator and freezer, and leave them closed as much as possible. If the doors are open frequently, the interior temperature may remain warm. The motor will also have to run more frequently, which may cause clicking or popping sounds.
- 3). Turn the thermostat to a lower setting, then wait at least 24 hours before checking the temperature. Keep the doors shut as much as possible during this time.
- 4). Check the ice bin, which may make cracking sounds as ice is produced or during the flow of water from the supply line. Clear away excess debris, and remove any blocked ice with a plastic or wooden utensil.
- 5). Verify that the air vents and the grille on the front of the refrigerator are not blocked.
- 6). Turn the refrigerator power "Off," and wait a few minutes. Turn the unit "On" to reset the refrigerator. Wait several hours to see if the refrigerator cools and the clicking sound diminishes or stops. If it does not, contact Jenn-Air for assistance.
