Bo and Carly
At the hospital, Carly recalls to Bo how her daughter was so cold towards her. "My daughter hates me! Melanie hates me!" she concludes. Bo believes Carly is overreacting, referring to Melanie as a complicated girl who can be charming, but someone who also has a defensive side to her. Carly questions how well Bo knows her. Bo says he's had a couple of dealings with Melanie, but states that she can be aggressive with most people.
Carly recalls seeing Melanie with a "rock," or engagement ring, relaying how Melanie's marrying Philip Kiriakis. Bo is stunned to hear that Melanie is marrying his brother, believing it just makes the situation worse.
Carly warns that Vivian will stop at nothing to avenge Lawrence's death and will want Melanie out of Philip's life. She insists that she has to go see Melanie now. Bo implores her to think it through, but she's tired of waiting around. Carly believes she needs to head to Maggie's to apologize for the inappropriate conversation she had with Hope. Bo encourages her to head over to Maggie's if she feels she needs to.

Vivian has just deduced that Carly's daughter is Mia McCormick. She points out that they look alike, according to her anyway. "Yes of course! Except for coloring, bone structure, body type," responds Victor. Vivian agrees that Carly and Mia don't look that much alike, suggesting that maybe Mia just looks more like her father. Victor suggests that Vivian is just dead wrong.
Vivian doesn't conclude that the "wimpy person" Mia is Carly's daughter, but believes it seemed like an excellent guess. She shows him a tracking device. "Risky business," says Victor. Vivian believes it's worth the risk, now that she knows what she's looking for.
Victor is amused at the thought of Vivian attaching a tracking device to Carly. "Carly darling, you don't mind if I attach this tracking device to your bosom, do you?" mocks Victor. Vivian is sure Carly is tracking her long-lost daughter and hoping to bond with her.
Vivian opens the door to Bo, who hands her a document and walks right in. Vivian is outraged to see that it's a restraining order to stay away from Carly. She rants how Carly is an "insane, cold-blooded murderous." Bo urges her not to talk about Carly that way and orders Vivian to stay the hell away from her. He warns Vivian that if anything happens to Carly, then what happened to Lawrence will seem like child's play. Vivian notes the flush in Bo's cheek and fury in his eyes. "You're sleeping with her, aren't you?" surmises Vivian. Bo doesn't deny this, and orders Victor and Vivian to stay away from Carly, then leaves.
Victor rants about Carly sleeping with Bo and wrecking his marriage. He yells at Vivian to get Carly already. He displays concern for Ciara suffering through this ordeal. Vivian encourages Victor to calm down. Victor blames Vivian for the situation, since she made Bo so protective of Carly that she wormed her way into his bed. He warns her not to waste another minute and find out for certain who Carly's daughter is.
Maggie's House
Melanie looks at a photo of Mickey and Maggie, then remarks to Mia how sweet Sarah and Melissa are. Melanie marvels how great it must be to have a mom like Maggie. Mia asks Melanie about her mom, wondering what she's like. Melanie says she doesn't talk about her mom, since she died when Mel was little. Mia apologizes for bringing it up. Melanie shares how her dad raised her and took his anger out of her, and now he's dead. She recalls how her father was the only family she had until she met Max. She tearfully admits that she misses Max and wonders how things would be different if her mom was around.
Will comes over after getting Mia's text. Mia asks if they can go somewhere and talk, since all the pictures of Mickey and Maggie are too sad. Will suggests going to Java, and they leave. Afterwards, Melanie looks at the photo of Mickey and Maggie and begins to cry.
Melanie later answers the door to Carly, who apologizes for the confrontation with Hope, insisting that she came over yesterday to offer her condolences. Melanie reminds Carly that she slept with Hope's husband. Carly didn't think Hope would be there. "Mickey was her uncle," points out Melanie. Carly thought Hope would be someplace else, since she wasn't supposed to be at Maggie's until later. Melanie jeers how that justifies murdering her husband and sleeping with somebody else's. Carly wishes Melanie wouldn't judge her until she knows the circumstances. Melanie wonders why she's supposed to care if Carly does horrible things.
Melanie berates Carly for what she's doing with Bo and urges her to apologize to Maggie for making a horrible day even worse. Carly asks Melanie when her wedding is, and Mel confirms that it's in February. Carly remarks how young Melanie is and wonders what's the rush, especially since she and Philip haven't even been seeing each other that long. Melanie says Carly has now crossed the line. She continues to lay into Carly for showing up at the house and ruining Hope's life by sleeping with her husband. Carly is sorry Melanie has such a low opinion of her. "Why do you care what I think about you?" asks Melanie. Carly says it was a mistake to come there, then says goodbye to Melanie.
Bo finds Carly outside and asks how it went. Carly insists that she needs to tell Melanie the truth. Melanie opens the door and overhears. "I'm sorry, tell me the truth about what?" asks Melanie.
Anna's Place
E.J. sits with Sydney and sees that Mommy's calling again for the tenth time. Anna wonders if he's going to put Sami out of her misery. E.J. laughs and says Sami can suffer a bit longer. He proceeds to read Sydney some nursery rhymes and ignores Anna, who points out how he's completely ignoring Sami.
E.J. later stands up and reminds Anna that Sami deceived him, so he's returning the favor. Anna admits that it makes her nervous, especially since the FBI is involved now. She suspects that Rafe could've tripped E.J up already. E.J. accuses Anna of insulting his intelligence, reminding her that he orchestrated the entire plan perfectly. He states that his next move involves Sydney.
