- 1). Unplug the lamp's power cord from the wall outlet. Plug the power cord into the AC socket on the wireless lamp module. Plug the wireless lamp module into the wall outlet.
- 2). Rotate the knurled dial on the side of the lamp module to "A" with your fingers. Rotate the number knurled dial on the side of the lamp module to "2."
- 3). Place the wireless receiver next to the control panel of the security system. Plug the receiver's power cord into a wall outlet. Rotate the alphabetical knurled dial on the side of the receiver to "A" with your fingers. Rotate the number knurled dial on the side of the receiver to "2."
- 4). Locate the "AUX input" on the wireless receiver -- the output will consist of two screws or an RCA-type connector. If screws are being used, first cut 2 1-foot lengths of electric wire from the electric wire spool with the scissors. Strip a half inch of insulation from all of the ends of the two wires with a wire strippers.
- 5). Loosen the screws on the receiver, if present, with a Phillips screwdriver and wind the end of each of the two electrical wires around the two screws and tighten them down. Loosen the two screws on the side or front of the control panel, if present, that says "AUX output" using the Phillips screwdriver. Wind the free ends of the two wires around the two screws and tighten them down.
- 6). Check to see if an RCA-type connector is used by the wireless receiver and the control panel, if so, connect the red RCA connector at one end of an audio cable into the RCA connection on the wireless receiver and the red RCA connector at the other end of the audio cable into the RCA connection on the control panel. Any activation of the security alarm system will now send a signal to the wireless receiver which in turn will activate the lamp module and turn the lamp on.
