Here are the steps in removing impacted ear wax:
- Step one should be choosing a product to soften and weaken the impacted wax.
You can choose among mineral oil, baby oil, hydrogen peroxide, glycerin or a commercial ear wax remover. - By using a dropper, place a few drops of the wax softening agent into the ear for two times a day
- After a day or two, flush your ear with water by using a bulb syringe with tap water.
Squeeze into the ear while pulling your outer ear up and back.
Drain the water by leaning your head to the side. - You need to let your ear dry, a few drops of rubbing alcohol or the use of hair dryer will do.
- This procedure should continue for four to five days until the impacted ear wax comes off.
- However, if it does not like to fall out, do not put any pressure.
The best thing you can do is to visit your doctor, and let him do the work for you.
