How to Make a Wooden Subwoofer Box for a Car

Prepare the Materials

1). Cut two pieces of wood measuring 11 inches by 12 inches. These pieces form the top and bottom panels of the subwoofer box.
2). Cut four pieces measuring 12 inches by 12 inches for the front, back, and side panels.
3). On one of the 12-by-12 pieces, cut an opening for the subwoofer. Use the size of the subwoofer as a template and place the hole in the center of the panel.
4). Drill a hole in the back panel near the bottom edge of the piece.

1). Attach the top, bottom, and side panels. Screw the panels together with the 1 1/2-inch wood screws, spacing the screws every two or three inches.
2). Screw the front and back panels onto the box, using 1 1/2-inch wood screws, also spaced every two or three inches.
3). Slide the speaker wire into the box through the hole in the back panel. Attach the speaker "wire leads" to the subwoofer.
4). Fit the subwoofer in the opening on the front of the box, then screw it in place with half-inch wood screws.
