You may first go to car audio installation Melbourne to see first time how can things happen. If you want to do it yourself, first remove the negative cable from the battery to prevent any short circuit.

Your factory setting would be mounted by a secured metal mounting sleeve supported by spring clips or attached with your dashboard with brackets.

Spring Clip Mounting
You need a DIN tools to remove the spring clips. For car DVD repair Melbourne, the principle is same. You first insert the DIN tools into the socket on either side of the system and release the spring clips. You will hear a gentle clicking sound, which means your spring clips are released. Gently spread the tools apart and pull the audio out of your dashboard.

Bolted in place
Your factory installed audio may be attached by bolt. It requires removing one or more trim panels from the dashboard. You may have to snoop the plastic trim away from the dash and locate the bolt before disassemble the panel. In most of the case the audio system is bolted by four screws to the front. Other times to side brackets.

Unplugging the car stereo
All systems including car alarm installation, stereo and others are pre-wired and there are plugs connected to the vehicle electrical system. For stereo, the plugs are also connected with the speakers, you first you need to unplug the wiring harnesses.

Connect the wiring
For the absence of harness or your factory stereo plug was cut off, first identify each of stereo wires and connect them with the new system.

Crimping the wires together is an easy process, only thing you need to be careful about the right size crimp connector. In market you can find bullet connectors, butt connector or crimp caps, mostly car stereos have 18-gauge, so any of this connector will work.

Power
It is usually recommended to build wiring connections through wiring harness, but you can also create direct power connection. However, you need to know the difference between a switched power and constant power.

A switched power is only on when you start your car. In other words, when your ignition is keyed, it connects the stereo power lead to a switched power source. So, when you turn off your car, your stereo power is automatically turn off.

A constant power source is always on, even when the car ignition is not keyed. It is advantageous to keep your stereo preset, sound shaping and clock setting intact, but it drains the battery.

Now, connect the wiring adaptor to your cars wiring harness and then slide the new audio system into the opening of your dash. First test the system, adjust the balance, check the fader setting and then finally secure it.
