- 1). Mix a glazing mix in a bowl. This mix should be around 10% primer paint and 90% glazing liquid. Ensure the primer paint is a similar, neutral color as the mid-tone color of your finished painting. Once this mix has been made you will be left with a transparent liquid perfect for glazing.
- 2). Apply a thin coat of glaze using a paint brush. The idea is to build your transparent layers one on top of the other, so each layer you apply should be thin. Then leave your glaze to dry fully before you add another layer.
- 3). Apply your next coat of glaze in the same fashion. It is important to remember that you can wipe off the glaze immediately after the application if you do not like the effect,or if you feel that you have put on one coat too many.
