- 1). Cut off a piece of duct tape that you can easily maneuver, approximately 8 to 10 inches in length. Place the sticky side of the tape against your clothing, and the adhesive will grab the lint immediately. Move quickly over the entire article of clothing to effectively remove the fur or lint.
- 2). Wrap several pieces of cellophane tape around the palm of your hand with the sticky side out. You can go over your clothing quickly by turning your hands back and forth and patting your pants or shirt. Once the tape is full of fur or lint, discard the tape and wrap your hand again. Masking tape can also be used in this manner.
- 3). Rub a fabric softener sheet lightly over your clothing. This reduces static cling in your dryer and will actively reduce the static that causes the animal fur or lint to stick to the fabric.
- 1). Wet any type of scrub brush so it is damp, but not dripping water.
- 2). Stroke the brush lightly over any upholstery or carpet areas that have animal fur on them.
- 3). Remove the animal fur with your fingers or a comb, when it is full. Repeat the method until the area is free of fur.
- 4). Wash the brush with warm water and soap, and place it in an area so you can find it easily when more hair is evident.
