- 1). Attach the iPod USB cable to the iPod itself and to your computer.
- 2). Select "Cancel" on your computer once the iTunes application recognizes your iPod and wants to sync.
- 3). Single click the "Start" menu from your computer desktop and click the "My Computer" folder.
- 4). Open the "iPod" folder and double-click "iPod" Control," then "MUSIC."
- 5). Select all of the tracks within the "MUSIC" folder by opening the "Edit" menu at the top of the window and clicking "Select All."
- 6). Click the highlighted music tracks from the "MUSIC" folder and drag them across your computer screen into the iTunes program. Let go of the mouse button to drop them. These tracks will be saved onto your computer and organized in iTunes. If you do not want the tracks saved in iTunes, you can simply open a folder of your choosing on your computer and drag the tracks into it to save them there.
- 7). Click the eject icon next to your iPod in the "Devices" menu in iTunes, then remove the USB cable.
