- 1). The refrigerator should be plugged into a grounded, working power supply. Check to see whether a fuse or circuit breaker has tripped and replace or reset them if necessary.
- 2). Push the ice maker arm to test the ice maker. Wait 24 to 72 hours for ice to be produced after the refrigerator is turned on for the first time.
- 3). Try to keep the refrigerator's doors shut for several hours if the refrigerator's motor is running excessively. Cleaning the doors' seals with a clean, damp cloth can help.
- 4). Remove the ice bin and empty it if the ice smells or tastes poorly. Clean it with warm, soapy water and rinse well before returning it to the freezer. Also keep stored foods sealed to keep smells from escaping into the compartment.
- 5). Turn the temperature control to a colder setting if the temperature is too warm. Inspect the vents and make sure that they are not blocked. Also limit the amount of time the doors are open.
