1967 Lincoln Continental Specifications

    • Only one automobile was produced by Lincoln in 1967, the Continental. The 1967 model was essentially a continuation of the 1966 model. However, 1967 was a significant year for the Continental, as the convertible model was discontinued at the end of the production year due to poor sales. As a result, the convertible is now among the most valuable Lincolns produced in the 1960s.

    Body Styles and Model Numbers

    • The Continental was offered in three body styles for the 1967 model year: the coupe, the sedan and the convertible. The sedan and convertible had four doors, while the coupe had two doors.

    Dimensions and Weight

    • With the exception of height, the dimensions for all three body styles were the same. The vehicle was 220.9 inches long and featured a 126-inch wheelbase. The car was 79.7 inches wide. The coupe was 54.3 inches in height. The sedan was 55 inches in height and the convertible was 54.5 inches in height. The coupe weighed 4,940 lb. The sedan weighed 5,049 lb. and the convertible weighed 5,505 lb.

    Engine

    • The 1967 Continental had a 462-cubic-inch big-block eight-cylinder engine. The 462 featured a 4.38-inch bore and a 3.83-inch stroke. The 462's compression ratio was 10.25 to 1. The engine had a four-barrel carburetor manufactured by Carter. The 462 produced 340 hp at 4,600 rpm, and 485 foot-pounds of torque at 2,800 rpm.

    Capacities

    • The 1967 model was equipped with a 25.5-gallon fuel tank. The 462 engine held six quarts of oil. The transmission held 26 pints of fluid. The cooling system held 25 quarts of antifreeze. The Lincoln's differential contained 5.5 pints of fluid.

    Color Options

    • The 1967 Lincoln was available with the following color options: Silver Mist Metallic, Black Satin, Granada Yellow, Huntington Gray Metallic, Cranberry, Pitcairn Blue #2 Metallic, Antique Beige Metallic, Florentine Gold Metallic, Huron Blue #2 Metallic, Powder Blue, Spanish Moss #2 Metallic and Cameo Green.

    Base Prices and Production Numbers

    • The coupe's base price was $5,553. The sedan's base price was $5,795 and the convertible's base price was $6,449. The sedan was the most popular model, with a production of 32,331 units. A total of 11,060 coupes were produced. The convertible was the rarest model, with 2,276 produced.
