- 1). Measure the length of your eyelashes on the right eye by closing the eye and gently place the beginning of a piece of string along the inside corner of the eye and bring along to the outside corner. Mark off where it ends with your finger by holding the string where the eye ends.
- 2). Place the string on the plastic surface, while still holding onto the same spot as in Step 1. Take the eyelash glue and make a line of glue on the plastic that is as long as the string shows. Allow to dry for a few seconds so the glue is very sticky but will not run.
- 3). Take the makeup brush and separate a small section. A brush made with real hairs is recommended. This should be no longer than the line made and should not be more than 1/4 centimeters thick. Cut a few hairs from this section, about 4 or 5, depending on the thickness of the hairs and place on the end of the line of glue so that it feathers our slightly. Repeat until whole line is covered.
- 4). Reinforce with an additional thin layer of liquid latex on the ends that are glued. Allow to dry then cut along this end to make the hairs even.
- 5). Remove the lashes from the plastic surface gently and place it along the right eyelash line to see how much needs to be trimmed. Using cuticle scissors, slowly trim the lashes by continuously using your own lashes as a guideline. The longer the false eyelashes are, the more dramatic the overall look. Typically, false eyelashes are 1/2 to 1/3 longer than the wearer's real lashes.
- 6). Hold the lashes with tweezers and use a small barrel curling iron to curl the lashes. Set the curl with hairspray.
- 7). Repeat above steps using the left eye as a guide.
