- A full or standard size bed works well for one or two. Two twin mattresses can be stacked (place a board between for support) for a single guest and then placed side-by-side (together makes a king size bed) when guests multiply.
- Murphy beds hide away when not needed and are much more comfortable than a pull-out sofa. If you have access to basic tools, Murphy beds are economical and easy to make.
- An inflatable mattress is a budget-friendly alternative. Stack two to create a “real bed” feeling and use drawer liner or a rug pad in between to keep mattresses from sliding.
- Choose jersey sheets in a neutral color for year ‘round comfort.
