Christmas Bingo Cards

As you are no doubt aware, Christmas is the time of year at which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The period of the year around Christmas has however had a spiritual significance even in pre-Christian times.
The Winter Solstice falls sometime between December 20th and December 23rd each year - this is the day of the year when the day (in the Northern hemisphere) is at its shortest, the night at its longest, and after which, days gradually become longer again and nights shorter.
Because of this "rebirth" of daylight, the Winter Solstice has long been associated with the ideas of rebirth and renewal.
Nowadays, Christmas is celebrated by people of all (and no) religions.
For Christians of course, it continues to mark the birth of the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
For people of all faiths, the holiday season provides a welcome respite from the pressures of work, and the opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
For many as well, it is also a time to remember those less fortunate, and to contribute to community or charitable causes.
Whether with your family, friends, a community group, or perhaps even schools, one of the ways that you can celebrate the season is by finding enjoyable activities to perform together - I'm talking about things like games! The ideal games for the occasion or those that are simple to learn and play, which everybody can participate in, and which do not require expensive or specialist materials.
Have you considered bingo? It fits all these criteria.
Of course if you're playing bingo at Christmas, it's a lot more fun if the game has a festive theme.
Instead of using traditional bingo cards containing numbers, why not use bingo cards containing items related to the Yule period? Things like "Advent", "Angel", "Carol", "Christmas Tree", "King Weceslas", "Nativity", "Shepherds", and, of course, "Santa Claus".
You can print these types of things from your computer: either by downloading ready-to-use free Christmas bingo printables from the Internet, or by purchasing low cost bingo card maker software which will allow you to print an unlimited number of bingo cards containing any type of items that you want.
