Foods that help relieve anxiety work in a certain way that give our bodies a boost. These foods are known as Super Foods and they have a high ratio of nutrition per calorie when compared to foods that are not so good for us, such as fried foods. Generally, when people get anxious they reach for high calorie snacks which tend to be fried fast food. The body finds it very difficult to break down and digest. They are also low in nutritional content.
Kick the fried food
Foods that help relieve anxiety can be used to replace fried foods. Once we do this we will feel an improvement and our bodies will also begin to run more smoothly. What i would like to do now is give you some examples of some Super foods and what benefits they have for us.

Chocolate! Don't get too excited. Raw chocolate is rich in magnesium which is what approximately half of adults are lacking in. A lack of magnesium is what causes mood swings and sluggishness. To get true benefits of chocolate we need the highest cocoa percentages possible and chocolate that has been processed very little. Dark chocolate contains anandamide,. It also raises serotonin, endorphins and dopamine.
Peaches. These are one of the best super foods for us. They contain phytonutrients which help fight cancer and give you healthier skin. Peaches contain a natural sedative which can help reduce anxiety.
Blueberries. These are a great super food that can find their way into our breakfasts, pies and even muffins. These can help improve our moods and there are even studies going on today that are looking how blueberries can help Alzheimer's disease. Blueberries can help restore brain function. As blueberries are so easy to add to other foods, they make a great accompaniment to cereals and yoghurt.
Almonds. If you want to find a super food that is not sweet then almonds are for you. As almonds are rich in vitamin B12 they will help enhance your mood. If you are struggling to get iron into your diet and you are feeling tired as a result. Then almonds that are good for iron levels will help give you that all important energy boost.
