Archery ranges abound throughout Ohio, both indoor and outdoor, public and private. Many of the private archery ranges are run in conjunction with firearms ranges and archery/firearms shops and schools. Public archery ranges offer outdoor archery practice in scenic locales, typically found in state parks, state forests and wildlife areas. - Throughout the state of Ohio, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife, operates more than 20 archery ranges. A complete list of ranges is available on the Division of Wildlife website, with full contact information provided.
All of the ranges are open to the public at no charge and are open seven days a week, from sunrise to sunset, except for major holidays. There are no restroom facilities provided, nor any attendants monitoring the ranges.
As ranges may be closed in the case of foul weather, visitors should call the range contact numbers to confirm availability.
