- 1). Find the contact information for your telephone service provider. If you know the name of your provider you can look it up on their website. If you are unsure of the location of the website, look on your most recent bill from the telephone company.
- 2). Call the customer service line for your phone company. Request to cancel your service.
- 3). Pay any remaining balance on your account. If you're canceling in the middle of a billing cycle you will need to pay your account balance to $0 before you can cancel. You can do so over the phone with a credit or debit card. When your balance is paid the customer service representative will be able to cancel your home phone service.
