- 1). Stop or pause any video or song currently playing on your iPhone.
- 2). Remove the headphones from your ears.
- 3). Grip the headphone plug firmly at its base.
- 4). Pull the headphone plug outward.
- 5). Continue pulling the headphone plug until the connector clears the iPhone's headset jack.
