- 1). Adjust your side mirrors and rear-view mirror so you have a clear site of everything behind you.
- 2). Position your hands at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock on the steering wheel.
- 3). Put the Jeep into reverse. Slowly ease off the brake and begin to back down the hill.
- 4). Tap the brakes occasionally rather than holding them the entire time as they will get hot.
- 5). Avoid any sudden turning of the wheel as you could easily roll the vehicle. Have a friend act as a spotter away from the vehicle to yell at you to slow down or turn slowly to avoid something.
