1Find the main circuit breaker panel for the house. Locate the circuit breaker for the air handler and switch it to the off position.

Use a nut driver to remove the nuts on the front panel of the air handler and open the panel. Find the red wire from the thermostat and cut it in the middle with a wire cutter.

Use a wire nut to connect one side of the float switch wire to one half of the red wire. Connect the other float switch wire to other half of the red wire the same way.

Close the access panel.

Restore power to the air handler.
