- 1). Connect the iPod shuffle to a computer using the USB cable that came with the device. Alternatively, connect the iPod shuffle to the USB cable that came with the device, connect the USB cable to an AC power adapter and then plug the adapter into an available AC outlet.
- 2). Locate the status light on the top of the iPod shuffle. As the iPod charges, the status light is orange and does not blink.
- 3). Unplug the USB cable from the iPod when the status light turns green. A green light indicates the device is fully charged.
