- Sleepovers are commonly hosted to celebrate a teen's birthday and give children the chance to relax and socialize outside of school. While sleepovers are generally social gatherings, activities can be used to keep guests entertained throughout the event. Whether you are hosting a small slumber party or a large sleepover for your teen, there are a variety of activities and games that can keep the party going.
- Karaoke is a singing game that teenagers can enjoy for hours while engaging in a little bit of friendly competition. Rent a karaoke machine and provide the teens with CDs to sing along to. Have guests take turns singing solos or duets, or keep the game interesting by assigning judges and awarding prizes to the guests with the highest scores.
- A scavenger hunt is a team game that teens will enjoy playing during the sleepover. Prior to the guests' arrivals, hide a variety of sleepover-themed items throughout the house, such as a pair of pajama pants or a sleeping mask. Make a list of the hidden items, and split the guests into teams. Have the teams search for the items and award a prize to the team with the most found objects at the end of the game.
- This game is most appropriate for older teenagers. Select one guest to hide somewhere in the house with a cell phone and turn out all of the lights. Allow the other guests search for the hider, and instruct the guest with the cell phone call the home's phone number every few minutes to provide clues to her hiding spot. Once the teen is found, select a new guest to hide and continue playing.
