- The school could pay for the teachers all to go to lunch at a popular local restaurant or have a catered lunch brought to the school. Many schools have a teacher work day before the students return, so that would be a day when you could have the lunch. Other schools start back with a half-day, so you could bring lunch for all of the teachers on that day.
- Many school system's budgets do not allow for teachers to have all of the items that they might want or need. If that's the case, put together a gift basket filled with school supplies and different types of school-related items that she could use. For example, place pencils, pens, stickers, stamps, art supplies and dictionaries in a basket. You could also include a gift card to a local classroom supply or office supply store.
- Teachers have to carry a lot of things to and from school, such as their lunch, papers they need to grade and books to create lesson plans. Give each of the teachers in your school a tote bag that they can use to carry their belongings. Choose tote bags in the school's colors or that have the school's logo or mascot printed on them. If you have enough money in the budget, have their names or initials embroidered onto the tote bags as well.
- Many teachers like to have a pick-me-up in the morning or the afternoons with a cup of coffee or tea. Give each teacher a coffee mug or a tea cup and place a small package of coffee or tea bags inside it. Place a plastic swizzle stick and a package of sugar cubes in the cup as well. Wrap the coffee mug or tea cup with cellophane and tie it with a ribbon.
