- 1). Turn your Wing over and slide the back battery cover down and off the device. Then lift the battery out of its compartment.
- 2). Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws on each corner of the back of the phone.
- 3). Insert the tip of the case opener tool (available from any electronics store) in the seam between the front and back halves of the phone. Gently work your way around the seam until the two halves separate. Set the back half aside.
- 4). Unplug the connector ribbon from the side of the green motherboard located in the front half of the phone. Then use your screwdriver to remove the single screw right below where the cable connected to the board. Lift the motherboard out of the front half of the phone.
- 5). Use your screwdriver to remove the three screws located in the bottom right corner of the metal panel in the front half of the phone. Then remove the three screws in the top right corner of the metal panel. Then lift the metal panel up to reveal the back of the keypad.
- 6). Lift the keypad out of the Wing and replace with the new one. Then reassemble your Wing in the reverse order you took it apart.
