- 1). Choose landscaped lawns that appeal to you and ask the owners of other homes or commercial buildings for information on who did their landscaping.
- 2). Contact builders and ask for the names of landscapers that they use. New construction always needs landscaping, and builders will have several reliable companies on a list to use. Ask if they will give you the addresses of some of the work they have done recently.
- 3). Narrow down the search be eliminating landscapers that you didn't like. Base this on the drive-bys of property.
- 4). Go to the Better Business Bureau website and type in the names of the landscape companies that you have obtained. Look for any complaints files, taking into consideration how long the company has been in business. It is better to just look at the number filed within the last six months.
- 5). Contact the Miami Chamber of Commerce for information on the remaining landscapers on your list. Ask if there are any issues that they know of that you should be concerned about. - 6). Ask friends and neighbors about your final few choices to see if any of them have had any issues or know of their work. Select a landscaper from the final list after talking with others.
