Hhr Stainless Exhaust Tips

    Styles

    • There are a variety of exhaust tip styles to choose from for the HHR, including round, oval and even square. However, owing to the HHR's unique, retro styling, it's probably best to stick with a more conventional round or oval design. You can also get dual outlet exhaust tips and single outlet tips, depending on the look you are going for. Likewise, there are highly polished tips for a brighter look and more muted-looking brushed tips for a more subtle appearance

    Where to Find Them

    • Stainless steel tips can be found in a number of places. Magnaflow makes a very nice bolt-on, polished stainless steel tip for the HHR. You can also check out companies such as Summit Racing, where there will be a variety of generic exhaust tips that will fit on your car. Another great place to visit is eBay. Simply type in "HHR exhaust tip" and you will find a large selection available. You can also check with local auto parts stores and muffler shops.

    Installation and care

    • Installing a stainless steel exhaust tip on an HHR is usually a very simple process that even the mechanically un-inclined can accomplish in a few minutes with the right tool. Generally, the tips will simply be slid onto the existing exhaust pipe and then tightened with the supplied bolts. On occasion, a tip may have to be welded on, in which case a reputable muffler shop will be able to do this for you. To care for stainless steel tips, simply clean them regularly and polish them with a high quality stainless steel metal polish and a clean, dry rag.
