- 1). Remove the paper backing from the hooking strip. Place the adhesive side of the strip against the back of the alarm module. Press down on the strip to secure the adhesive to the module.
- 2). Remove the paper backing from the looping strip. Place the looping strip on the underside of the tail section of the motorcycle. Press up on the strip to secure the adhesive to the underside.
- 3). Place the alarm module in the tail section of the motorcycle. Wrap the two strips around each other so that they adhere to one another. Press the two strips together to further the adhesion.
- 4). Run the red and black wires attached to the alarm module over to the battery, which is at the base of the motorcycle. Loosen the screws on the positive (+) and negative (-) labeled ends of the battery with a tool from the alarm kit. Wrap the exposed end of the red wire around the positive (+) labeled screw. Wrap the exposed end of the black wire around the negative (-) labeled screw. Tighten the screws with the tool from the kit.
- 5). Pull the wire that has the LED at the end and is attached to the alarm module out from beneath the tail section. Tape the end of the wire just below the LED to the back edge of the seat with a strip of duct tape.
- 6). Insert the plug of the tilt sensor cable into the input on the module. Place the tilt sensor next to the sensor, beneath the seat. Tape the tilt sensor to the side of the alarm with strips of duct tape.
- 7). Arm the alarm after the motorbike has come to a rest and you are walking away -- use the included keychain fob transmitter to do this.
