More paid advertising There has been a big shift in business marketing on social media.
Sites like Facebook and Twitter are now offering businesses paid advertising options.
You can no longer expect your followers to see all of your content in their news feeds.
The algorithms have changed in such a way that it is harder for businesses to reach their audience for free.
Social channels are starting to push the paid advertising options in order to make brands more visible.
Organic promotional content is being phased out, which could force many marketers to start paying to play on social media.
