Weddings are a time to celebrate love and a hopeful future. Part of the fun, and sometimes the difficulties, of a wedding is planning and decorating it. Flowers are an integral part of the wedding ceremony and usually the reception as well. Orchids are classic and elegant wedding flowers. In particular, orchid bouquets are stunning, as the flowers have an exotic shape. Orchids are luxurious flowers that come in both light and vibrant colors. - One option for an elegant orchid bouquet is to pair white orchids with yellow roses. This is a perfect option for a summer wedding, but is also good for just about any season. The bouquet should be a nice mix of the roses and orchids, and should be shaped into a circle. A shiny yellow ribbon tied around the bottom of the bouquet finishes the look.
- Create a colorful and varied orchid bouquet using green cymbidium orchid blooms. Add black calla lilies, black roses, curly willows and green hypericum berries. The orchid blooms perfectly complement the other flowers in the bouquet. Tie the bottom of the bouquet with a large white satin ribbon. For an extra touch to this striking orchid bouquet, wrap a string of fake pearls around the bottom as well.
- A dramatic bouquet includes cymbidium white orchids paired with blood-red roses. The combination of dark red with white is eye-catching. The bouquet should include more orchids than roses, but the roses should be interspersed evenly throughout it. This particular bouquet is quite large and voluminous, certainly not subtle. The flute shape of the orchids will stand up higher than the roses.
