- 1). Plant a flower garden. A flower garden is the perfect place for kids to walk around by and explore, and also offers an avenue for you to teach your children about flowers and the responsibilities involved with caring for a garden. Children love nature and this is a way to let them safely explore it where you can keep an eye on them.
- 2). Find a level area in your yard and place a table and chair set on it. There is no reason to keep kids indoors all the time for activities such as reading and writing; they will enjoy those activities much more when they are outdoors in the sunshine, rather than stuck inside at a table. You can even bring them out here to do their homework or for eating meals.
- 3). Set up a swingset. Swings are always a favorite and you can choose different types of swings, depending on the age of your children.
- 4). Blow up an inflatable pool, place it in a shady area on the lawn and fill it up with water. Kids always love the water and a pool offers an ideal way to add water fun into your outside play-area plans.
- 5). Set up a children's playhouse. Playhouses work well with kids of all ages. They enjoy feeling as though they have a house of their very own where they can have privacy and feel grown-up.
