- 1). Format your letter with 1-inch margins on all sides. Align your text to the left. Also use a size 12 font that is professional and easy-to-read like Times New Roman.
- 2). Type your name, with your address below it, at the top. Skip a line after your address. Type the name of the person to whom you are addressing the letter. Add their title at the company below, then the company name and address below that. Skip a line after this.
- 3). Write "Dear" with the person's name and the appropriate salutation like "Mr." or "Ms." Skip a line after this.
- 4). Write your body paragraphs. Do not indent these paragraphs. In the first paragraph describe yourself to the sponsor. Include your name, the number of years you have been competing and where you are located. Skip a line then start your second paragraph. In this paragraph include the awards you have won and the competitions you have placed in; also tell the company why you want them as a corporate sponsor. At the end, thank them for considering sponsoring you. Then skip a line.
- 5). Conclude your letter with "Sincerely," or "Thank You," then skip three lines and type your name. Proofread your letter, then print it out. Sign your name above your typed name at the bottom. Now you are ready to mail your sponsorship request letter.
