Reasons You Get Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are uncomfortable and often quite painful.
Knowing what causes them may help you prevent getting one again.
Sitting and standing for long periods of time put additional pressure on the hemorrhoid and are a couple of the reasons you get hemorrhoids to begin with.
There are four fairly typical causes: Diet: Eating too many processed foods can cause constipation and diarrhea, both can cause hemorrhoids.
Processed foods contain preservatives and additives which can negatively affect the digestive system.
For prevention purposes, you should eat plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain and bran and also flaxseed for optimal colon health.
Also, drink a lot of water every day.
Pregnancy and childbirth can cause hemorrhoids.
Additional pressure on the anorectal area can easily cause hemorrhoids.
When you are going through childbirth you are pushing and straining and more women than not get hemorrhoids from delivering a baby.
Straining/Heavy lifting - Heavy lifting and straining during a bowel movement are common reasons you get hemorrhoids.
Once again, this puts pressure in the anorectal area.
Genetics - Genetics can be the cause of someone who is prone to getting hemorrhoids throughout their lifetime, but it also makes sense that most family members eat similar types of food, such as processed foods and possibly little amounts of fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grain.
As you can see there are steps to help prevent getting hemorrhoids.
Pregnancy and childbirth can't be changed, but a proper fiber enriched diet can be implemented to help prevent future hemorrhoids.
Also, eating foods high in fiber will soften the stool and enable a healthy digestive system and colon, and prevent straining.
