- 1). Determine if a full quorum is present based on the number your organization chose, such as 50 percent. If a quorum is not present, point this out to the presiding officer and suggest that he cancel the meeting until a quorum is reached. If the presiding officer agrees, the meeting is canceled.
- 2). Reschedule or delay a meeting (if you are the presiding officer) for other reasons should you deem it necessary, unless a majority of those present vote otherwise.
- 3). Propose that the body as a whole resolve that the meeting should be rescheduled, postponed or canceled entirely. Should a majority vote yes, the meeting is ended.
