Sustainability initiatives include energy efficient lighting, a composting and recycling program, use of locally produced ingredients and products, reduced use of chlorine and chemical based cleaners, reusable mugs and dinnerware, and a water upon request only policy.

The owners tool a sustainable approach to construction by using eco-friendly paint and cork flooring, as well as building a bar top out of compressed cardboard. Locally brewed and organic beer is served, and the bar serves at the meet-up spot for Portsmouth Green Drinks every third Thursday of the month.

The Portsmouth Gaslight specializes in brick oven wood-fired bistro cuisine and pizza, and offers a variety of locally brewed beers to drink whole you enjoy your meal.
