- 1). Place the footpeg between the motorcycle's mounting bracket, facing the squared-off portion of the footpeg's base down.
- 2). Slip a washer over the footpeg's pivot bolt. Slide the pivot bolt through the mounting bracket and footpeg.
- 3). Secure the pivot bolt to the footpeg bracket. Slip a snap ring onto the groove cut into the bolt's protruding tip, or insert a cotter pin into the hole in the bolt's tip. Bend the cotter pin's legs out and around the bolt, using pliers.
- 4). Repeat to install the opposite footpeg, if needed.
