Visit Slovenia's greatest and greenest places with carrental

Slovenia is the greenest country on the Balkan Peninsula, with abundance of green valleys and forests with a well developed road network and beautiful landscapes.

We have started our journey in Maribor, one of the biggest cities in Slovenia, renting a car from Optimus Rent a Car, a company that operates in almost all important destinations in the country. After we had a nice cup of coffee and the famous Maribor bakery products, we took A1 road and through Slovenska Bistrica and Celje, we continued on the road E57 with a final destination Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is a capital of the country, relaxed city with a lot of cultural events happening during the summer period, nice restaurants and green parks where people sunbathe and play. After we refilled our car with petrol, which is with highest quality on the Balkans, we continued on A1 road to reach Postojinska Jama (Cave) which is a Slovenia's attraction place number 1. The cave is remarkable with the stalagmites and stalactites and one of the biggest caves in the wider region. Inside the cave people move with specially designed little train and can be well informed by the present guides.

Down the road A3 we ended on the touristic place named Koper on the Adriatic sea, which has beautiful sand beaches and a good night life. Our final destination was Bled, where we left our rent a car, without paying any extra fee for the one way fee, and enjoyed the beautiful Bjelsko jezero (lake) which together with the town represents one of the most famous and desirable places in Slovenia and in the region.
