  Karaoke is a fun pastime involving singing over a pre-recorded music soundtrack. Karaoke clubs and bars usually have screens that display lyrics while the music is playing. Most karaoke singers are amateurs, although some events feature competitions for cash prizes. Brampton, Ontario offers only a handful of karaoke options, although many more can be found in downtown Toronto a few miles away.
