Definition: A system that limits the amount of dive or compression of the front forks during braking. Hydraulic and mechanical systems have both been deployed by manufacturers, the hydraulic type being favored for street bikes.
Examples: One of the problems associated with Anti-dive systems is that they tend to make the front forks stiff during braking; this inevitably leads to shocks from road irregularities being transmitted back through to the rider.
