Dylanwad Da ("Good Influence")

This little restaurant, in the market town of Dolgellau, has been dedicated to providing good food and good wine for over twenty years. Their menu sees a variety of influences from around the world but uses the best of the ingredients local to them to create fresh and inspirational dishes.

During the day, Dylanwad Da is open as a cafe bar for cakes, coffee and tapas. In the evening the restaurant is transformed into a relaxing environment, perfect for evening meals.

The restaurant has received praise from many restaurant reviews, and has been recommended by the Guardian, the Times and the Daily Post. Since 2003, Dylanwad Da has served a large range of fine quality wines imported from Spain, Italy, France and Austria; a lovely restaurant for quality food and drink.

Castle Cottage Harlech

Castle Cottage has been awarded five stars and was listed as one of the top 100 places to eat in the UK in the National Restaurant Awards 2011. It also achieved a Visit Wales Gold Award from the National Tourism Awards for Wales in 2012 while maintaining excellent reviews, including one by Paddy Burt (Travel Telegraph): "For pure enjoyment, Castle Cottage, on a brow of a hill overlooking Harlech Castle is hard to beat..."

Set in a 400 year old renovated building, the restaurant is described as contemporary, seating around 40 in total. Special attempts are made to source the best local ingredients including lobster, crab and sea bass, and dishes are prepared to order - so special dietary requirements are catered for. The restaurant also boasts quality wines and desserts. Prices do vary but are stated on the sample menu to be at 39.50 for three courses of five star quality prepared food.

Booking is not necessary but may be required during busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. Meals are priced around 16.00 and additional side orders are all 2.00 each.

Bodysgallen Hall Restaurant
