- 1). Get your IMEI number by typing *#06# into the keypad.
- 2). Contact your service provider's tech support and request an unlock code. If they ask for a reason, you can tell them that you plan on selling the phone or that you're traveling overseas. If they still refuse, get an unlock code from a remote unlocking site like foneszone.co.uk, mobileunlocksolutions.com or unlockitnow.com,
- 3). Power down your phone and remove its SIM card, located underneath the battery.
- 4). Insert your foreign or pre-paid SIM card into the phone and turn it back on.
- 5). Enter the unlock code that you received earlier. When your screen reads "Enter Special Code," the phone will be unlocked.
