- Beef brisket can be served with vegetables, like cabbage, carrots and onions. For example, purchase a corn beef brisket and place it into a large kettle. Cover with water, then let it broil for five minutes. Once you remove the top film, add two cups of cabbage, carrots and onions. Allow the brisket to cook for four hours, or until tender.
- Serve your beef brisket alongside potatoes. Before baking your brisket, prepare a sauce by mixing barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Rub the sauce into your beef brisket. Place the brisket inside of a large, baking pan for five hours, or until tender. Bake your potatoes an hour before the brisket is done. Serve together.
- You can try a slow cooker recipe and serve brisket with salad. Purchase a 3-lb. beef brisket. Coat the brisket with virgin olive oil, then brown for 10 minutes. Remove brisket. Stir in 1/4 cup of water with a bottle of your favorite beer. Replace brisket and allow to slow cook for eight hours. Once cooked, served the sliced brisket on top of a garden salad.
- Another way to serve brisket includes whole wheat rolls. Prepare a brisket for dinner and store the remainder in the refrigerator. You can eat the remaining brisket for lunch or a late-night snack. Slice beef brisket and serve with whole wheat rolls. For better taste, top the brisket sandwich with barbecue sauce, ketchup or mustard.
- Brisket goes well with beans, like pinto, navy or kidney beans. Rub seasoning over the brisket, such as onion powder. Place the brisket inside a baking pan with 2 cups of beans. Add 1/4 cup of water, a can of tomatoes, sliced garlic and black pepper. Allow the brisket and beans to cook for six to eight hours.
