Light Dash Sounds Like You Are Off Somewhere In A Hurry But It" s A Way Of Illuminating Vehicles

Long gone are the days where all an emergency vehicle had was a siren and a single rotating strobe light. In today's world, emergency vehicles need so much more to make them visible and audible. When you consider how much road traffic there is and how many road traffic accidents there are then you can understand how stretched and overworked our first responders are. What first responder's need more than anything else is to get to calls quickly and safely and the vehicle lighting including Light dash units help them achieve that. The more visible a vehicle is the more likely they are to get traffic to make way and let them pass.

Light dash units are relatively new in emergency vehicle lighting terms but there is still quite a lot of choice out there. Many of the units are small but pack a punch in the light output department and that is exactly why Light dash units are becoming so popular. Lights on the dash area of a vehicle can give some protection to the occupants as light shining out in that and the visor area render inside the vehicle invisible. What this does other than lighting outside the vehicle is ensure that personnel don't become targets from weapons and missiles.

All first responders need to stay a step ahead of the game and they need to have their vehicles future proofed in a way. The correct combination of lighting in a vehicle can help first responders and protect them. The Light dash units give them the perfect combination of invisibility of the units themselves until they are switched on. Maintaining the safety of any first responders is critical and they should have every means at their disposal to keep themselves and others safe. Lighting on a vehicle is as crucial as the other kit they carry such as first aid equipment, computers and communication devices.

The passive warning on vehicles is the badges and distinguishing marks such as checkerboard or stripes, the audible warning is the siren. Then of course you have the power of lighting as the highly active visible warning on vehicles. The lighting on vehicles some would say is overdone and in some respects research has backed this up. Recent research shows that too much lighting on emergency vehicles at roadside scenes and incidents can act as a distraction to other road users rather than a warning. The Light dash units would in such circumstances be ideal, as they would illuminate the scene without blinding drivers on the road.

If first responders have the best equipment, the best kit and the optimum lighting for their vehicles then they are much more likely to stay safe. Light dash units, light bars and hidden lighting on a vehicle can all help then do the job well and safely. First response vehicles are all full of top of the range high tech equipment, yet it is the relatively low tech lighting that is as crucial as anything else they carry. It's hard to ignore a vehicle bearing down on you from a distance with all its lights flashing and siren blaring and that is exactly what the first responders need, visibility.
