CALALAY explains how to make a neat pumpkin decoration out of fabric.

Materials Needed:

• Piece of Fabric
• Needle
• Thread
• Fiberfill
• Green Felt
• Glue

Instructions:
My sister made up this pumpkin craft.
Get a piece of material. You can use just orange but we did one in orange and yellow checks and it was really cute.

Trace around a dinner plate on the material. Cut it out. Loosely baste thread around edge of circle.

Pull the ends of the thread to draw into a 'pouch' . Fill with fiberfill and pull the thread ends together to closed. Tie the thread ends together.

Cut a jagged circle (to represent leaves) out of green felt to sit on top of the pumpkin and glue it on top of the pumpkin to cover the threads and raw edges of fabric. Glue a stem on top (we have used pieces of pipecleaner and twigs for the stem.)

I also made one out of orange netting and filled with an orange colored potpourri. Of course, you can make these bigger or smaller by changing the size of your circle.

Quick and easy tip - if you want a jack-o-lantern just use fabric paints.
