- 1). Slide the battery cover from the underside of the One Touch open and insert two AA batteries. Replace the cover. You can use alkaline or rechargeable batteries in this appliance.
- 2). Locate the rim groove on the underside of the can opener. This groove has to fit securely over the rim of the can in order for the can opener to work properly.
- 3). Place the can opener over the top of the can, aligning the rim into the groove.
- 4). Place the can on a flat surface and press the "Start" button on the top of the opener. Hold the button down until the opener begins cutting the lid.
- 5). Lift the can opener off the can when the cutting is complete. The magnet on the One Touch will lift the lid from the can as it is being removed.
