- 1). Stock the room with toiletries. A basket of toiletries placed on the dresser is a nice touch. It might include shampoo, toothpaste, soap, razors, toothbrushes and combs. Trial sizes work well for the guest bedroom so that you can restock each time a new guest comes to visit.
- 2). Place fresh, clean towels in the room. Fluffy "bath sheets" are a luxurious addition to any guest room and will be much appreciated by your guests.
- 3). Hang a bathrobe in the room for your guests. You don't have to use a new one for each guest. Simply purchase a high quality "one size fits all" bathrobe and wash it in between guests. If you anticipate couples, you might purchase two bathrobes to have on hand.
- 4). Make slippers available to your guests. You can purchase inexpensive slippers at any large department store. You can purchase new ones between guests or simply purchase 100 percent cotton ones that you can launder between visitors.
- 5). Spoil your guest with a snack basket. Often, guests will not be comfortable asking for snacks throughout the day. It is a nice touch to have a small basket of snacks such as granola bars, apples or chips available to your guests.
- 6). Place fresh flowers in the room. This is a lovely touch that will make your visitor feel special and add a colorful touch to the room.
- 7). Make the bed with clean bedding and fluffy pillows. "Hotel quality" bedding in solid prints work well in guest rooms and will ensure that your visitor experiences restful nights of sleep.
- 8). Place a fan in the room if you don't have a ceiling fan. Many people are unable to sleep without the "white noise" or the feel of a fan blowing.
