- 1). Hang several slim branches on your wall in a vertical or horizontal design. Choose thin branches from the same tree that have the same general resemblance, such as all straight or all curvy. For more uniformity, purchase the branches at a craft store. Tape the branches temporarily in position with masking tape, then hammer them to the wall using fence staples.
- 2). Make a sprawling branch a wall centerpiece. Hammer the branch into the wall using thicker fence staples, or use one nail on either side of the branch to wedge it into place. Add additional support by stapling or nailing offshoots. Leave the branch unadorned for maximum visual impact, or use it to organize jewelry or host tillandsia.
- 3). Swap out your curtain rods for straight branches, such as birch. Find your branch or get it from a florist or craft store. Trim the branch so it overhangs your window by a few inches on either side, then slide it into U-shaped drapery brackets to secure it to the wall. Slip on a curtain with ring clips or grommets to complete the look.
